Life with kids

I'm really sucker for my kids grabbing my neck and saying "I love you, dad!".

Do they do it on purpose?

I'd much rather be on the beach playing with my kids, since the weather is still warm (for the time being).

Oh well.

 really wonder, what's the horror of going to bed for kids?

Today we visited my in-laws nearby. As usual, we got home a bit too late in the evening, and the bedtime for the kids was approaching fast.

As usual, my sister-in-law dumped a huge load of toys for the kids from their attic, and I decided to leave them in the car, so we had some chance to get the elder boy in bed before midnight.

As could be expected, he decided to get hysteric when he noticed that all the toys were left behind. Since he was obviously tired, I started to put him into the bed.

"I'm not tired! I'm not tired!" were about the only recognizable words amids the screaming. And he was sound asleep within 10 minutes

I wonder what it is that is so horrifying in falling asleep?

Our firstborn isn’t a baby any more. He had his 3 years teeth checkup the other day.

His teeth are in excellent condition, but the dentist said that the pacifier has to go, unless we want our kid to have front teeth that stick out.
Kalle agreed to trade the pacifiers for a toy lorry quite peacefully. The only problems came when he went to have a nap: "I cannot go on without the pacifiers!". Well, after a few reminders where the pacifiers had gone and why he settled down. Even the evening wasn’t any problem.

So, he isn’t a baby any more
